AC & heating questions, answered

Straight answers to what Space Coast homeowners ask us most. Don’t see yours? Call us at (715) 432-5199.

How fast can you come out?
For a no-cooling call in the middle of summer, we do everything we can to get out the same day or first thing the next morning — we know how fast a Florida house heats up. For non-urgent work like a tune-up or a quote on a new system, we'll find a time that works for your schedule. Either way, call us and we'll tell you straight when we can be there.
Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates on a new system or a replacement are free, and there's no obligation. For a repair, we'll diagnose the problem and give you a price before any work starts, so you always know what you're agreeing to before we begin. No surprise charges on the bill.
What brands do you service?
All the major ones — Carrier, Trane, Rheem, Goodman, Lennox, American Standard, and the rest. We repair whatever you've got, and when it's time for a new system we install a range of brands and efficiency levels so we can match the system to your home and your budget instead of pushing one label.
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
It depends on the age of the system, the cost of the repair, and how it's been running overall. As a rule of thumb, if your unit is over 12–15 years old and a repair is going to cost a big chunk of what a new system would, replacement usually makes more sense. But plenty of repairs are absolutely worth doing. We'll give you the honest call for your situation — we'd rather earn a repeat customer than sell you a system you didn't need.
How often should I have my system serviced?
Once a year at minimum — ideally a check-up in the spring before the cooling season really hits. In Florida, where the AC runs hard most of the year, an annual tune-up catches small problems before they become hot-afternoon breakdowns, keeps the system efficient, and keeps your manufacturer's warranty valid (most require regular maintenance).
My AC is freezing up or leaking water — what's going on?
Ice on the lines or water around the air handler is usually one of a few things: a clogged drain line, a dirty filter or coil choking the airflow, or low refrigerant. Turn the system off so it can thaw and so the water stops, then give us a call. These are common, fixable problems — but running the system while it's frozen or leaking can make the damage worse.
What areas do you serve?
We cover the whole Space Coast — all of Brevard County plus Sebastian and Vero Beach in Indian River County. That means Melbourne, Palm Bay, West Melbourne, the beaches, Viera, Suntree, Rockledge, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Titusville, and the towns in between. The full list is in the footer. If you're nearby and don't see your town, call us anyway and we'll let you know.
